Additive Manufacturing Intern

 Essential Job Functions:

Assist engineers in the design and development of advanced equipment for laser processes.

  • Design tools fixtures and laser equipment
  • Tool path programming of Robots and CNC machines using CAM software
  • Assist engineers with the setup and process development.
  • Cut samples, polish and perform metallurgical analysis.
  • Assist engineers in the development of customized post processors for robots and CNC machines.
  • Compile bill or materials and perform cost analysis on the products developed.
  • Prepare user manuals and documentation.

  

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or higher preferred.
  • Experience with CAD design.
  • Hands on experience with CNC machines or robots is a plus.

 Qualities:

# 1 - Passion - Skills can be learnt, but passion can't be.

# 2 - Level headed nature - You could be a genius but if you can't be a good team player, it is of little help for us.

# 3 - Self starter - You have to be go getter. We cannot spoon feed you!

# 4 - Reliability- We are a small team. No call no show doesn't work well with us.

# 5 - Hands on mechanical aptitude - This is a must for us. Either you have it or you don’t.

Your prior work! It could be the first robotics project you worked on, or the parts you 3D printed for your use or the Arduino projects you built in your spare time. We like to see you excited about technology!
