Marketing and Business Development Intern

Position Responsibilities:
You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth and expanding our business opportunities. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients, develop strategic partnerships, and explore new revenue streams. Your strong communication skills, business acumen, and proactive mindset will contribute to the overall success and growth of our organisation.

Client Acquisition

Identify and target potential clients through research, networking, and lead generation activities

Conduct market analysis to identify industries and sectors with potential business opportunities

Engage with key decision-makers and stakeholders to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.

Relationship Building

Develop and nurture relationships with existing and prospective clients to establish trust and long-term partnerships

Maintain regular communication to understand their evolving needs, provide updates on company offerings, and address any concerns or inquiries.

Proposal Development: Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to create compelling proposals and presentations that showcase the value and benefits of partnering with International Business Times UK

Customise proposals to address client-specific objectives and showcase our unique selling points

Partnership Development

Explore strategic partnerships and collaborations with other organisations, agencies, or influencers to expand our reach, enhance brand visibility, and tap into new markets

Identify potential partnership opportunities, negotiate terms, and establish mutually beneficial relationships

Market Research

Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics

Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and potential areas for business growth

Use data-driven insights to develop strategies and recommendations

Sales Support

Assist the sales team in preparing sales materials, conducting product demonstrations, and participating in client meetings when necessary. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and delivery of services to clients

Reporting and Analytics

Track and report business development activities, sales pipelines, and key performance indicators (KPIs)

Provide regular updates to management on progress, achievements, and challenges

Analyse data and generate actionable insights to optimise business development strategies.

Requirements

Strong opinions and the ability to express them compellingly through verbal and written communication

Proficient in English language

Self-motivated and able to meet quotas

Experience in sales or a strong interest in developing sales skills

Understanding of digital marketing and audience engagement

Capable of conducting thorough research to support the creation of rankings and listicles

Experience in outreach or partnership roles is preferred

On-site Supervision and Support

Our internships include 24/7 on-site staff to support students working and living abroad. All students will also report to a supervisor at their internship site. Supervisors provide and oversee daily tasks, introduce the intern to team members, and mentor the intern in organizational agility, skill acquisition, and career readiness. Interns complete a midpoint and final evaluation, and supervisors complete a final evaluation of their interns. All work responsibilities and projects are approved in advance. 

Academic Credit

Students on an internship have the opportunity to enroll in their home university for credit, or enroll in a course through API to transfer back to their university for credit. Email support-internships@apiexperience.com for more information and a syllabus.

Housing and excursions are included in your internship and will be selectable during the application process.
