Job Responsibilities:

  • Support maintenance of computer systems and networks.
  • Respond to basic customer/end-user queries within timelines.
  • Assist in preparing reports and documents related to technical support (e.g. problems, resolutions, assets registers).
  • Provide logistics support in coordination with third parties.
  • Proactively develop deep knowledge of technical concepts, processes, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance.

 

Minimum Education and/or Training:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

 

Minimum Experience:

Senior Technical Support Specialist:

  • Minimum requirement: Four (4) substantial years experience providing support around IT systems (e.g. operating systems; setup and configuration of computers and printers in a networked environment; maintenance of hardware components and computer peripherals).
  • Highly prefer experience supporting Apple, Windows and Linux.
  • Experience working with TCPIP and Microsoft Networking.
  • Experience providing customer service and consulting around complex system issues.

 

Technical Support Specialist:

  • Minimum requirement: Two (2) year experience providing support around IT systems (e.g. operating systems; setup and configuration of computers and printers in a networked environment; maintenance of hardware components and computer peripherals).
  • Highly prefer experience supporting Apple, Windows and Linux.
  • Experience working with TCPIP and Microsoft Networking preferred.
  • Experience supporting business teams around IT needs preferred.

 

Licensure, Registration and/or Certifications:

  • Certification in A+, Network, Windows, or Apple preferred.

 

Compensation

In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $29.00 - $50.50 per hour for the role of Technical Support Specialist (I OR Senior).
