R&D Electrical Engineering Intern - Spring 2025

We’re looking for a R&D Engineering Intern to join our Research & Development Team in Collierville, TN.

More about the role

As an intern, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced Research and Development engineers on new product developments, cost reduction and other special projects for LED Emergency Lighting Electronics products. You will also have the opportunity to:

Perform circuit simulations, build, test, and evaluate product prototypes in terms of performance, quality, and costs

Generate accurate engineering test reports and related documents and present the information, as needed

Develop LED Emergency lighting products with cutting edge battery technology

Conduct competitor product testing and analysis and explore new ideas and project opportunities for lighting products and systems

More about you

You are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with a strong desire to learn and develop new skills. You also have these attributes:

A current engineering student pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Electronics

Knowledgeable in circuit analysis and design, power electronics and circuit simulation using LTspice, etc

Some experience with microprocessors and embedded software and knowledge and/or experience with wireless communication technologies (Bluetooth, Zigbee) and mobile apps

Familiar with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, function generators and lab functions: soldering, assembling, and troubleshooting of electronic circuits

An excellent communicator, highly organized, able to learn quickly, handle multiple projects and work with minimal supervision​

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future company sponsorship needs.

 

This internship/co-op could lead to an at will full time role.

Pay Rate: $21 - $28 per hour (based on year of study)
