Pay Rate:                     $21.50/hour + housing stipend

The Business Strategy and Analytics team advances the organization by making and helping others make informed strategic decisions across business units by using all potentially available data and advanced analytics techniques.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain data pipelines 
  • Optimize SQL queries and implement data governance to ensure data integrity
  • Manage ETL processes to ingest, clean, and organize large data sets from diverse data source
  • Create documentation for data pipelines and schema changes
  • Work closely with other data engineers to ensure seamless data integration into the data warehouse and support BI tools, such as Tableau, for reporting and visualization
  • Close collaboration with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements to create efficient and reusable data models
  • Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
  • Familiarity with Python or another programming language for data manipulation and automation
  • Familiarity with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD best practices for data workflows
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently
  • Capable of developing creative solutions for unique challenges
  • Passionate about working in professional sports
  • Current student with a graduation date of December 2024/January 2025 OR within one year post graduation
  • Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 5-month program from March to August 2025
  • Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
  • Passionate about working for a professional sports team
  • Proactive and out of the box thinking
