Student Worker

Short Job Description
Assist in completing daily projects assigned to student workers by the OUWB Office of Student Affairs leadership and staff. These may include: assisting with reception desk coverage, making copies; proofreading; hanging materials on bulletin boards; providing event support (e.g. making signs, labels, cards, prepping diploma covers), inventory and stocking of office and student breakout room supplies; delivering mail; assisting in preparing workshop content and special projects as appropriate.
 
Student Assistant Duties
  • Assist in the completion of daily projects assigned to student workers by Student Affairs deans and staff. The Student Affairs Office Assistant oversees student worker activities, priorities, projects, and schedules.
  •  Projects may include, but are not limited to:
o  assisting with reception desk coverage
o  making copies
o  proofreading materials
o  scanning documents in drawers and file cabinets to archive records
o  hanging materials on bulletin boards
o  providing event support
o  providing support for various OUWB Student Affairs programs
o  obtaining signatures as requested
o  delivering mail
o  assisting with cleaning/organizing the student lounge and study spaces
o  assisting in the development of workshop materials
o  assisting in research projects as appropriate (e.g. literature reviews)
o  updating student org budget tracker
o  assisting with student organization event preparation (e.g. room reservations, PA tracking)
 
  • Permission of the Associate Dean or Assistant Dean is required for any activity that is not directly elated to tasks for the Office of Student Affairs. This includes assistance for other Center for Medical Student Services suite teams.
  • Student workers are not to view, interact with, or manipulate any personal student information, including accessing grades, disability accommodation information, or other personal information contained in medical students’ educational records.
  • Student workers should work with the Student Affairs Office Assistant to prioritize tasks.
