The Los Angeles Dodgers Information Technology Department is seeking to hire a detail driven and highly motivated individual in the capacity of IT Application Development Fellow. Our team excels at delivering outstanding service and assistance to our organization, fans and community. This position will support, develop and maintain applications pertaining to the business needs of the organization. We are looking for an individual who seeks out solutions against a wide array of challenges and can adapt to an ever-changing landscape of modern frameworks and platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop, test and deploy intuitive software that meets the company’s needs
- Actively engage in utilizing best practices for application and software development
- Prepare documentation and education needed for software maintenance and utilization
- Collaborate closely with team members and communicate roadblocks effectively
- Effectively communicate functionality of developed applications
- Support and maintain deployed software in an orderly fashion
- Maintain software security that ensures data protection
- Communicate effectively within the sports and media industry
- Provide exceptional service to maintain positive relationships with third-party technology partners and Los Angeles Dodgers staff
- Work closely with other developers, designers and business analysts
- Utilize source control and maintain best practices for code deployment
- Other duties as assigned
Basic Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Knowledge of agile development cycle
- Strong grasp of the following languages python, C#, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Java, SQL, Linux CLI
- Strong grasp of relational databases
- Ability to utilize the following frameworks and tools: .NET, GCP, AWS, NodeJS, React, Git, Linux, Excel
- Familiarity with full-stack development
- Advanced skills in front-end and UI development
- Ability to consistently pivot based on user feedback
- Knowledge of networking basics and client-server applications
- Must have flexible schedule to support and deploy software seamlessly within the organization
- Must be team focused with willingness to help others achieve a larger project or goal
- Must be detail-orientated, self-motivated, and enthusiastic
- Must possess excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and possess good communication and time management skills
- Current student with a graduation date of December 2024/January 2025 OR within one year post graduation
- Must be available to live and work in Los Angeles or your assigned office location throughout the duration of your 5-month program from March to August 2025
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States
- Passionate about working for a professional sports team
