Events and Marketing Intern

About the Role
As an Events and Marketing Intern, you’ll focus on engaging with the SubSummit community through email marketing, outreach campaigns, and social media initiatives. Working closely with the Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Operations, you’ll have the opportunity to develop creative solutions to outreach challenges, connect with community members, craft compelling content, and help drive attendance at SubSummit 2025, themed "Level Up: Commerce Without Limits."
Key Responsibilities
- Brand Ambassadorship: Represent SubSummit with enthusiasm, creating meaningful connections and promoting brand awareness within the DTC & loyalty space.
- Email Marketing & Outreach: Execute email campaigns to engage the subscription community and grow event attendance.
- Social Media Support: Assist with updating platforms, scheduling posts, and supporting ongoing communications strategies.
- Creative Contributions: Brainstorm and implement innovative ideas to boost SubSummit’s growth and event attendance.
- Industry Research: Stay informed on trends in the subscription, membership, and loyalty industries to enhance content strategies.
Qualifications
- Current college student or recent graduate studying marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Social media savvy, with experience managing and updating various platforms.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to contribute creative ideas.
- Basic understanding of marketing principles with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Strong research skills with an eye for quality data and reliable sources.
- Ready to work professionally and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Duration of Internship: January - June 2025; Available for travel to Dallas, TX May 24 - May 31, 2025. Expected up to 30 hours per week.
