Remote Social Media Engagement Internship

Operation Mobilization (OM) is a multicultural movement of Jesus followers, striving to live all of life on mission with God in the everyday places of life and work -- especially where access to the gospel is limited.   

 

The Remote Social Media Engagement Internship is for young professionals who want to: 

  • Use your skills to engage new audiences in transformational work around the world
  • Gain practical experience in current marketing and online community engagement techniques
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, and feedback from marketing professionals
  • Grow your global awareness and contribute to more people experiencing God's love

 

Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Manage and monitor the company’s social media accounts with strong understanding of the brand, audience, and new engagement goals
  • Brainstorm, organize, and plan a 12-month content calendar to support company goals
  • Work with brand guidelines to create content (graphic, photo, video) and captions, as well as templates for future use
  • Use analytics to gauge the success of campaigns and assist in creating performance reports on platform engagement
  • Interact with community through comments and messages
  • Provide suggestions to management for improving customer experience on social platforms and internal processes
  • Research benefits of additional social media accounts

Qualifications and Skills:   

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Completed Sophomore or Junior year of college or Recent Graduate
  • Major in Marketing, Business, public relations, or related field
  • Natural curiosity, posture toward learning and growth
  • Applicant must submit an online portfolio for review and evaluation

 

Additional Info:   

  • Spring Semester Cohort Dates: January 27 - April 11, 2025.
  • All interns must be in full agreement OM USA’s Statement of Faith.
  • Required pre-start training through online materials and video conference sessions with coaches and an Intern Cohort in the weeks leading up to the start date. Includes debriefing with coaches on the completion of the internship.
  • This is an unpaid volunteer internship that requires about 10-15 hours per week.

 

Accreditation:  

  • Degree Credit is available upon the approval of your university/college supervisors.
  • Supervisors are typically management-level and have experience both in the corporate world in their field and in international nonprofits. Specific supervisor qualifications can be provided as needed for determining internship eligibility for college credit in your program.
