The 2025 Ulta Beauty Internship is a structured 10-week program designed to develop future talent and provide interns with a unique and impactful development experience. This program is tailored for rising college Juniors and Seniors, offering both Corporate and Distribution Center Internship Tracks. The internship will be hybrid for corporate interns and in-person for Distribution Center interns. Interns will gain hands-on experience in Ulta Beauty’s operations while contributing to business needs, engaging in meaningful projects, and broadening their professional development. The internship program provides real-world experience directly related to academic discipline and career goals and offers a better understanding of career options.

TEAM OVERVIEW:

Be a part of a team that helps facilitate the development and implementation of merchandising and assortment strategies that result in growth and value creation for Ulta Beauty.  Be the merchants’ strategic thought partner and trusted advisor by leading the aggregation of cross-functional insights to drive holistic data-driven decisions.

 

INTERNSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Merchandising Strategy Intern will learn to analyze and interpret data related to the Beauty industry, including overall market trends to provide insights on Ulta Beauty’s competitive position and identify potential growth opportunities

 

 As an intern, you will contribute to achieving the following goals:Gain an understanding of Market Measurement data and best practices

  • Learn to gather information from various sources like sales reports, third party market data, and industry reports to effectively communicate market insights to cross-functional partners
  • Monitor market trends and potential shifts in customer behavior or beauty industry dynamics
  • Enhance current internal reporting with visualization that presents market share insights through clear and concise reports, graphs, and dashboards for decision-making
  • Collect information and perform ad hoc root cause analysis with recommendations to assess performance about competitors
  • Actively participate in a cross functional project that provides exposure to Merchandising, Marketing and additional cross-functional partners to ultimately present to senior leadership

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Individuals pursuing a degree in marketing, business administration, statistics, social sciences, communications, or a related field
  • Proficiency in data analysis, visualization tools, and database management systems
  • Demonstrated focus on accuracy in data collection and analysis, whether through coursework, projects, or work experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and interact with various levels of leadership

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university in the summer of 2025.
  • Previous work experience and active involvement with on-campus organizations or activities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, and sense of urgency.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.


 

The pay range for this position is $14.00 - $25.00 / Hour. Exact pay will be based on factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, level, shift, geographic location, and business and organizational needs. Eligible associates may also earn overtime pay as required by applicable law. Full-time positions are eligible for paid time off, health, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits.
