College Intern
Wonderland Camp is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated College Interns who are looking to gain experience working with people with disabilities. This position will help candidates understand how their field interests will be used in a nonprofit setting. This is an opportunity for students to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world setting while developing practical skills and contributing to the camp experience.
Depending on background and interests, interns will have the opportunity to fulfill a variety of roles. These roles could include but are not limited to, assisting with cabin management, accommodating and modifying programming, working in our medication depot, and creating simplified tasks and helping campers sequence life skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Support campers with specific needs in a variety of settings.
- Work closely with the leadership team to ensure the application of the candidate’s major to the nonprofit world.

Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program.
- Interest or experience in working with people with disabilities.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt in a variety of situations.
- Ability to participate in heavy lifting, pushing wheelchairs and long periods of walking and standing.
- All staff must complete a background check and meet other pre-employment requirements.
