About the Nursing Internship (Virtual)

CareYaya's Virtual Nursing Internship is an invaluable opportunity for students and individuals interested in pursuing a career in nursing. This program offers a hands-on virtual experience in a clinical setting, providing a unique insight into the day-to-day operations and responsibilities of nurses across America. Key Responsibilities

  • Clinical Nursing Shadowing: Observe and learn from nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals during patient consultations, medical procedures, and routine clinical operations.
  • Patient Interaction: Assist in basic patient care under supervision, such as taking patient histories and basic vitals, and providing patient education.
  • Medical Documentation: Learn about medical documentation and assist in organizing patient records and clinical data.
  • Clinical Meetings: Attend and participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, and educational sessions.
  • Research Assistance: Support ongoing clinical research projects through data collection, literature reviews, and other tasks as needed.
  • Ethical Conduct: Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions and observations.

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in or recent graduation from a nursing, pre-medical, pre-physician assistant or related healthcare program.
  • A strong interest in pursuing a career in medicine or healthcare.
  • Excellent observational and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a clinical setting.
  • High degree of empathy, patience, and a strong desire to learn.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different clinical environments and schedules.
