Manufacturing Engineering Intern
Perform Manufacturing Engineering work with other fulltime engineers by designing, testing, and implementing packaging designs that are an integral part of Schluter’s development process.
COMPETENCIES
- Previous internship or work experience (preferably in a manufacturing environment in support of Process and/or Mechanical Engineering roles.)
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ideally 3rd to 4th year student in good standing in a BS engineering related engineering curriculum. (Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing data collection, analysis, interpretation
- Identifying potential design and operation improvements to:
- Design Improvements
- Equipment
- Processes (LEAN)
- Process Documentation
- Evaluations and Optimization and Efficiency and Quality of manufacturing process and equipment
- Maintain records and documentation associated to projects
- Must be able to communicate effectively at all business levels
- Ability to prioritize and respond to shifting demands
- Represent Schluter Systems in a professional, positive and enthusiastic manner in all matters
- Comply with occupational safety regulations
- Above average Computer Competency (e.g., Excel, Word)
- Team Player works well with others
- Good communicator verbally and in writing
- Ability to maintain resolve when pressured to let something slide
