Research Assistant/Associate

The Massachusetts General Hospital Center for Law, Brain, and Behavior seeks to hire part-time, paid post-baccalaureate Research Associates (e.g., graduate, law, or medical students) and undergraduate Research Assistants for the Summer 2025 academic term (May – August 2025).  This summer assistantship program, now in its 7th year, is a unique training opportunity at the rapidly evolving intersection of law and neuroscience.

Research Associates and Research Assistants will play an integral role in exciting Center initiatives. These include: Core CLBB projects (Aging Brains and Elder Fraud Prevention, Trauma, Memory and Asylum, Criminal Sentencing, Juvenile/Emerging Young Adult Justice); the development of the first open source digital Neurolaw Library; Judicial Education initiatives; and Amicus Briefs. Current undergraduates are eligible for Research Assistant positions, and post-baccalaureate (graduate, law, medical, other) students are eligible for Research Associate positions. Stipends are based on hiring as a Research Assistant ($4,000) or Research Associate ($6,000) positions. Individual start/end dates are flexible. 

Research Associates and Research Assistants will report to Dr. Robert Kinscherff, CLBB Executive Director. They will work with CLBB Co-Directors Dr. Judith Edersheim and Dr. Bruce Price, CLBB Project Directors, and CLBB affiliated faculty in both law and neuroscience. Summer RAs must be available for at least 10 weeks during the months between May and August of the summer to be eligible. Most work will be virtual. However, local and regional RAs may be asked to participate in in-person CLBB training, meetings, or events. All are welcome to attend CLBB professional and social gatherings.
