This position is located in Bingham Farms, Michigan and will be 2-3 days per week on-site.
 

About You
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the CIO role is critical in shaping the organization's business intelligence and technological infrastructure to support our mission. This position leads the Information Technology (IT) department and oversees HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) security and works closely with senior leadership to develop and implement innovative technology solutions that enhance our operational efficiency, improve people served outcomes, and expand our reach. Additionally, the CIO is responsible for managing both the in-house IT team and contracts with the managed services to ensure the effective delivery of IT services.

Day In The Life
 

  • Function as the agency’s Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Security Officer, insuring compliance with HIPAA regulations as well as developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard electronic protected health information (PHI)
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the organization's mission, goals, and values
  • Identify emerging technologies and trends relevant to crisis care delivery
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization's IT infrastructure
  • Lead efforts to develop and implement business intelligence solutions, including data warehousing, analytics tools, and reporting dashboards, to provide actionable insights for decision-making across the organization
  • Evaluate and select technology vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships and deliverables, ensuring that they adhere to HIPAA requirements and appropriate BAA agreements have been signed
  • Serve as primary contact with technology vendors in the generation of RFP’s, bids, contracts, agreements, and other major interactions
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure data integrity and compliance with HIPAA security regulations and industry standards for data security and privacy
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including clinical staff, administrators, and board members, to understand their technology needs and priorities
  • Manage the departmental budget that is developed in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team
  • Direct and supervise designated staff by holding regular departmental meetings to review goals and initiatives, promote team building, work to provide growth paths for staff, and ensure staff adhere to Common Ground policies and procedures
     

What You Need To Apply
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field, highly preferred OR High School Diploma and extensive experience in IT (10+ years)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of leadership experience
