What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team for 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning, transforming, and analyzing our marketing, engagement, and other audience data to support our business strategies. You will ensure that our user data is accurate, meaningful, and integrated into our data systems to extract actionable insights that drive our film marketing strategy. This role involves working closely with the data and technology teams to support optimize audience discovery efforts.

Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management:

  • Validate data coming from various sources are correct in formatting, accuracy, and integrity.
  • Transform, and process, and analyze user and audience data from various sources to support new analyses and product features.
  • Assist in maintaining data pipelines, ensuring smooth data flow within systems to unlock insights for dashboards and modeling.

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Help create dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and other marketing metrics for internal and external teams.
  • Analyze data from marketing campaigns, audience behaviors, and user engagement to derive actionable insights.
  • Support the presentation of data findings to inform marketing and business strategies.

Collaboration with Data and Marketing Teams:

  • Assist in integrating data into machine learning models to improve film discovery processes and real-time marketing strategies during film releases.
  • Collaborate with Data Leads to refine data models and analytics products based on marketing performance and feedback.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical skills with experience in data collection, cleaning, and interpretation using SQL and Python.
  • Familiarity in data visualization tools (e.g., Quicksight, Tableau, or Google Data Studio).
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and experience working with ML models.
  • Sharp ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms or big data technologies (e.g. AWS) 
  • Familiarity with paid marketing tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Meta Ads, TikTok Ads)
  • Experience with A/B testing and experimental design.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, agile marketing environment.
  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices in data governance.
