Background

The Foundation manages an innovative and flexible grants program while also preserving Warhol’s legacy through creative and responsible licensing policies and extensive scholarly research for ongoing catalogue raisonné projects.

Communications Intern Overview

The Communications Manager encompasses a broad range of communications responsibilities, including media relations, social media, and management of the foundation’s digital presence. The Communications Manager ensures a positive and engaged public image for the foundation and promotes the foundation’s core values to the visual arts community, other funders and partners, and the general public in alignment with the foundation’s priorities.

The Communications Intern will work closely with the Foundation’s Communications Manager to take part in various projects to help share the foundation’s work, the work of the foundation’s grantees, promote its core values, and to grow the foundation’s audience.

The internship intends to provide a hands-on experience of the inner workings of the Foundation’s external communications that amplify the work of the foundation’s grantees, its philanthropic endeavors, innovative licensing collaborations, and the scholarly research of the catalogues raisonnés.

The Communications Intern will have the opportunity to meet with other foundation staff members to learn more about the roles they play at the foundation, and how other departments of the foundation function and contribute to our founder’s legacy. They will also be provided with opportunities to visit local organizations and institutions that have been funded by the foundation to gain a broader sense of the foundation’s work and the work of its grantees.

This is an opportunity to work closely with the Regional Regranting Program intern to compile and shape the content of the newsletter
  • Conceive and organize a social media campaign for the Foundation’s social media channels.
