Part-time Human Resource Intern

TDI is currently seeking a Part-time Human Resource Intern to join our practice in Washington, D.C. As a HR Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in various HR functions, contributing to the overall success of the HR department and the organization.

Job Responsibilities 

The HR Intern will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist with recruitment activities such as job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support employee onboarding and orientation processes.
  • Aid in conducting employee evaluations and performance reviews.
  • Assist in workforce management tasks including scheduling and timekeeping.
  • Contribute to conflict management and resolution within the workplace.
  • Participate in succession planning initiatives.
  • Gain exposure to HRIS systems.

Qualifications 

The ideal candidate for the HR Intern position will possess the following:

  • Education:Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Skills:
  • Strong interest in human resources and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Location: Washington, DC | Monday - Friday | 20 hours a week

 

Compensation: $17.50 / hour

 

Duration: 3 - 6 months, with possibility to extend
