Global Safety Engineering Intern

Summary: 

The Global Safety Engineering Intern will gain experience with chemical manufacturing processes by supporting the global Engineering and Safety staff with several projects focused on bringing best practice solutions to our global manufacturing sites.  The intern will be expected to observe and understand current conditions, research standards and solutions, and document findings and recommendations for improvement.  The intern will collaborate with a global team of professionals to complete the effort; no travel is required, but some off-hour meetings will be necessary.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of college coursework completed in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Completed coursework in Engineering design, Safety Manufacturing, or fire and explosion hazards. 
  • Excellent research skills. 
  • Knowledge of chemical process equipment and control systems, a plus.
  • Experience with CAD, AutoCAD, or similar software, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
