Sales Intern

Summary:

Toyoda Gosei North America (located in Troy, MI) has an opening for a JOEM Sales Summer Intern. The Japanese OEM Sales Intern will assist the Sales team with analyzing market information and applying it to the ongoing commercial account management activities, including providing support for the presentation of proposals and reports for internal and external parties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to the sales account management team on various projects
  • Carry-out special assignments as directed by sales leadership, which requires the collection of information from various sales departments, analyzing, and reporting back results
  • Perform profitability studies on various parts and programs to pinpoint areas of improvement countermeasures needed
  • Assist sales team with increasing turnaround time for Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and information from technical and purchasing departments to track due dates and RFQ information flow

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Minimum of 2 years' undergraduate studies completed
  • Coursework towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Sales/Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or related field
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products (including Excel)
  • Excellent organization and communication skills required
  • Strong financial acumen required
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
