Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Analyst Intern to join our Information Security team for the summer of 2025. This internship offers a unique opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the field of cybersecurity. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced security professionals, assisting in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents while contributing to the improvement of the organization's security posture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic for signs of security incidents or breaches.
  • Support the team in conducting vulnerability assessments and risk analyses of internal systems.
  • Help maintain and update security documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with incident response efforts, including gathering and analyzing security logs, performing forensic investigations, and preparing incident reports.
  • Perform research on emerging security threats and assist in the development of mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security best practices and help identify areas of improvement.
  • Participate in security awareness training and assist in educating employees on security protocols.
  • Support day-to-day security operations, including patch management, user access reviews, and system audits.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing or a recent graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or recent graduate.
  • Basic understanding of information security principles, network security, and common attack vectors.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.
  • Knowledge of programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous internship or academic experience in cybersecurity or related fields.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST, CIS, or ISO 27001.
  • Basic knowledge of common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking protocols.
  • Security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP are a plus, but not required.
