Participants will immerse themselves in a dynamic environment, learning directly from accomplished professionals and gaining invaluable experience across various facets of hotel operations. Structured as a Manager-in-Training program, the internship accelerates career development, equipping participants with the skills and knowledge necessary for future full-time, year-round management positions within Boyne Resorts.
Through a blend of hands-on training and mentorship, this program bridges the gap between academic study and professional success. Interns will gain comprehensive exposure to front-of-house and back-of-house operations while cultivating the leadership acumen required to excel in a competitive industry.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in day-to-day operations across assigned departments.
- Spend 3.5 weeks in the role of Front Desk Associate at one of Big Sky Resort’s premier hotels:
- Huntley Lodge (3-star), Summit Hotel (4-star), or Village Center Hotel (4-star).
- Gain 7 weeks of experience in two specialized departments of your choice:
- Options include At Your Service, Bell Staff, Concierge, and Housekeeping (3.5 weeks per department).
- Shadow and assist the Assistant General Manager of one of the resort's hotels for 3.5 weeks, experiencing leadership responsibilities firsthand.
- Complete a capstone project to demonstrate your learning and insights gained throughout the internship.
Qualifications
- Must fulfill the program’s duration and requirements.
- Must be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Hospitality, Recreation, Tourism, or a related field.
- Strong desire to pursue a career in the hotel industry.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Positive attitude and ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment.
