Summer Intern Program:

Summer Analysts will be placed in one of the following teams within Information Technology: Our business aligned areas such as Fixed Income, Equities, IB Technology, CRM & Analytics or our functional aligned areas such as Corporate Technology, Infrastructure & Security. 

Join our Global Information Security Team

As a part of Jefferies Information Technology, Summer Analysts may also be able to specialize in Global Information Security.  The Global Information Security organization which consists of Security Operations, Cloud Security, Network Security, Platform Security, and Identity Access & Service Management protects Jefferies critical systems and sensitive information from internal and external threats and cyber attacks through use of technology, policy, process and Cyber Data Analytics.

Qualifications:

• Sponsorship for non-U.S. residents may be available
• Undergraduate or master’s level candidate working towards a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field
• General Skills
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly as you collaborate with others in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Motivated candidates with a desire to pursue a Cyber Security based career upon graduation
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
• Desired Technical Skills
  • Security Operations
    • Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks (NIST, MITRE)
    • Knowledge of Cyber Security Theory
    • Knowledge of Vulnerability Management
    • Knowledge of Authentication Standards (OAUTH2, JWT)
    • Operating System experience: Linux; Windows
    • Knowledge of Security Information Event Management (SIEM)
    • Understanding of firewalls, such as Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Juniper, etc.
    • Experience with Java Script, Java, Python, PowerShell, SQL, or other scripting languages
    • Understanding of network routing & switching technologies, network security protocols, understanding stateful application traffic profiles, cloud network connectivity solutions a plus
    • Fundamental grasp of machine learning algorithms and data analysis techniques a plus

The base salary for the Analyst role is $100,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program). The base salary for the Associate role is $120,000 (pro-rated for the 10-week internship program).
