Position Details

  • Internship Program Period: 10 Week Program (6/2/2025 - 8/8/2025)
  • Full-Time; temporary w/ no benefits
  • Hybrid
  • Location: Yes Energy Core Offices
  • Hourly Rate Range: 
    • $18.00/hr - 1st year Intern
    • $19.00/hr - 2nd year Intern
    • $20.00/hr - 3rd year Intern
    • $21.00/hr - 4th year Intern
  • Reports to: Director of Product

Intern Will Learn and Be Exposed To: 

  •  Resume-building experience in an innovative, fast-growing technology environment.
  • Cross-discipline training outside the intern’s direct area of employment (e.g., sales, marketing, engineering, project management.) 
  • Work with the engineering intern to implement a new feature. 
  • Work with the product team on complex, multi-dimensional projects and learn valuable leadership skills.
  • Product management best practices.
  • Nodal power markets, data analysis, UI/UX.
  • Presentation that summarizes the applicant’s contributions at the end of the internship with the opportunity to improve public speaking skills by working with a coach.
  • Professional development in a supportive and creative culture.

Project Work / Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct market and data analysis to gather insights on customer needs for Yes Energy products.
  • Complete data analysis projects that will inform future product development.
  • Work on a high-value project that benefits product and engineering. 
  • Learn Agile product development principles and techniques through training and real-world application.
  • Assist with creating more value from existing data using the latest technology to map disparate sources together.
  • Improve our self-service customer support functionality. 
  • Learn data and product management tools. 

Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree from a US College or University in a product, engineering, technology, or finance-related field with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

 Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other web-based interfaces.
  • Strong analytical, software design, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across various technologies and understand how to apply different tools for new product development.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Good organization skills, particularly in a technical environment.
  • Familiarity with data analysis and product management tools (SQL, Snowflake, JIRA, Freshdesk, Pendo, and Productboard).
  • A strong desire to learn, grow, and explore new things.
  • A desire to learn more about power markets.

In accordance with Colorado law, the range provided is Yes Energy’s reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role.

Intern Recruitment Process

Applications will close on February 2nd. We will contact candidates in late February to early March to conduct screen interviews, and final candidates can expect final interviews by late March.
