Camp Krem Yosemite is a non-profit organization serving children, teens, and adults with a wide range of developmental disabilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, caring Dance and Drama Specialist to work in Ahwahnee, CA!

Position Details: Seasonal (summer camp), live-in position. Room and board provided, as well as a stipend for 10-day sessions.

Job Summary: The Dance and Drama Specialist is responsible for the development and delivery of a dance and drama program that is appropriate to campers’ age and abilities and compliments Camp Krem’s philosophies, goals and programs. Assist in the management of the dance/drama area and related equipment and supplies. Read more here. 

Essential Job Functions: 

• Develop and deliver a dance and drama program appropriate for our campers, considering their age, abilities, and Camp themes:
• Work with campers throughout the session to prepare for dance/drama performances at the end of each session, highlighting what they have learned;
• Work with interested campers one on one to prepare individual dance/drama performances for Talent Show etc;
• Assist in the planning of any special events, especially in the area of dance and drama.

Qualifications/Requirements: 

• Must be at least 18 years old, preferably with college experience;
• Experienced in a variety of dance genres;
• Experienced in drama techniques;
• Supervisory or teaching experiences with children or adults, preferably with special populations;
• Current First Aid and CPR Certification, or willingness to obtain;
• Undergo full criminal background check, and reference checks;
• Up to date COVID-19 vaccination status and willingness to undergo regular COVID testing for the safety of our campers and staff.
