Project Job Description
Focus Topic: Health Care Transformation, Value-Based Payment for Care Delivery, Whole-Person Care
Functioning as a member of a research team that investigates trends in accountable care across health policy, this intern will contribute to a variety of research activities related to accelerating the value-based care across the health ecosystem. Much of the research will focus on Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement policies and health care delivery innovation.
Ideal for students interested in health care policy, including issues related to Medicare, advanced primary care, value-based care, and health care economics.
Project deliverables could include:
- Deliverable 1: Literature review on key components of alternative payment models design elements (e.g., payment benchmarks, quality measures, or data-sharing strategies), as well as other topics in health care transformation (addressing non-medical drivers of health, improving health care transparency, etc.)
- Deliverable 2: Develop series of short perspective pieces on total cost of care models and accountable care design elements
Preferred Intern Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs
- written and oral communication skills
- qualitative research skills
- knowledge of American health system
- Ideal for students interested in Medicare policy or economics.
