Position Summary: 

You will work with a team of researchers and engineers for solutions to tackling real-world problems relevant to Samsung. You may have the opportunity to publish at top-tier conferences in acoustics/audio, signal processing, and deep learning. As an intern, you will be involved in contributing to state-of-the-art team projects with talented people at Samsung and will benefit working in a fun and creative environment.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Assisting in the development and implementation Machine Learning and DSP-based technologies for audio and multimedia
  • Helping translate algorithm code (typically written in MATLAB or Python) into to real-time C/C++ code to run on DSP and production hardware for developed technologies
  • Setting up test equipment, acquiring audio measurements, and analysis of data
  • Preparing documentation, reports, and presentations related to the technology and code
  • Working with research and product development teams in the US and Korea

Required Skills: 

  • Enrolled in a Master’s program in Electrical Engineering or similar
  • Relevant coursework with coding skills for machine learning, including deep-learning techniques
  • Excellent understanding of signal processing for audio
