Process Engineer Intern
Summary:
The Process Engineer Intern will work closely with the Production Plant Chemist and in collaboration with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Technology. The focus will be to gain a comprehensive understanding of the production process for some of our complex systems that have the highest potential for reducing processing time, operational cost, and environmental impact. Responsibilities will include a) collecting and analyzing current process data, b) analyzing legacy process data, c) quantifying results in terms of processing time, operational cost, and output volume, d) investigating potential opportunities for increased efficiency.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of college coursework completed in the study of Chemical Engineering, Engineering, or related field.
- Knowledge of general chemistry, chemical process equipment, and experimental design is preferred.
- Previous laboratory and/or industrial experience, is a plus.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, and intermediate Excel skills.
- Commitment to safety and quality.
