Sales & Marketing Paid Internship

Pittsburgh CLO is a not-for-profit cultural organization dedicated to the preservation, creation and promotion of the American musical theater art form, the furnishing of arts education and providing outreach and meaningful community service opportunities in Western Pennsylvania and throughout the United States. The Pittsburgh CLO, hailed as one of the nation’s premier regional theaters, is seeking a college aged student for our Sales & Marketing Internship.

Start Date: 5/19/2025
End Date: 8/08/2025
Approx. Hours per week: 35

Assists with a variety of PR and Marketing activities and administrative tasks including social media posts and recaps and website management, helping to prepare for interviews, promotional and special events, assisting with merchandising displays & sales, decorations for cast parties, sourcing and preparing opening night gifts, welcome baskets and media thank yous. Contributes to the creation of press releases and show-specific stories. Candidates should have excellent communication skills, a positive outlook, and a collaborative spirit.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Assist Marketing Manager to prepare for interviews, promotional events, and special engagements.
  • Assist Marketing Manager to contribute to the creation of press releases and show specific stories.
  • Assist Marketing Coordinator in signage delivery throughout specific geo-targeted areas of the City per show title.
  • Assist in creating and working merchandising displays, off-site sales efforts, as well as decorations/messaging/pictures for Cast Parties.

Requirements

  • Some nights and weekends required.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and car available on daily basis.
  • Strong writers as well as those who are proficient in Adobe Suite, Meta as well as Canva are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and perks include pay at $7.25 per hour and tickets to each performance.
