What You’ll Do

We are seeking a highly motivated research intern to join our team in developing cutting-edge machine learning algorithms for advancing the state-of-the-art multi-modal large language models. As a research intern, you will have the opportunity to work on solving a challenging problem in image generation and language understanding

Location: Working onsite at our San Jose office/headquarters at least 4 days per week on Monday - Thursday, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

Reports to: Director of AI/ML Software Engineering

  • Develop algorithms to advance research in multi-modal large language models.
  • Implement and validate the algorithms in various scenarios and hardware environments.
  • Conduct a literature survey on related work.
  • Build baselines and related technologies for evaluation.
  • Prepare written reports and oral presentation on the progress.
  • Publish the algorithms and results in top-tier conferences in machine learning.
  • Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Pursuing Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • Strong research experience in machine learning, computer vision, and/or natural language processing.
  • Experience in open-source deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Experience in one or more of the following: multi-modal large language models, generative foundation models, image generation, image editing.
  • Publications in top-tier conferences (ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, etc.).
