Travel Sales Associate

AAA is hiring full-time, SEASONAL, Sales Associates to join our dynamic Travel Contact Center Team! Are you an ambitious, sales- driven individual who has a customer focus? Our Travel Sales Associates support member sales and service on multiple levels, by handling incoming calls and/or emails related to commodity travel products such as hotel, air and car reservations. **This is a Seasonal position working FT hours from Mid-April/Early May through early-September (max of 650 hours total) for our busy summer season. This position would be eligible for future opportunities to continue employment with AAA Club Alliance! 

**This is a work from home position; however, candidates MUST live within one of the following states to be considered:

Training Requirement: Training to begin approximately Mid-April to early May, 2025. 

Training hours will be Monday - Friday 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. for first 4-6 weeks. All training is paid!!

After training, all work schedules will include ONE weekend day shift.

  • The starting base compensation for this position is $16.00 - $21.65 hourly.  The base pay range shown is a guideline for compensation and ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location

What you would be doing as a Travel Sales Associate: 

  • Serve Members/non-Members through telephone, email, and web chat channels by selling and servicing air, car, rail, and hotel reservations.  A concentration on Diamond Elite and Preferred vendor products is required.
  • Book and council Members/non-Members on primarily domestic air, rail, hotel and car reservations.
  • Operates and is familiar with applicable automated airline reservation and ticketing system as well as travel partner booking sites.  Assumed proficiency within six months. 
  • Complies with all ARC regulations and Club policies and procedures in the collection and handling of assets.
  • Answers and accurately processes incoming telephone calls, e-mails, and web chat sessions related to AAA travel while demonstrating a pleasant and professional manner in compliance with quality guidelines while actively looking for upsell and cross sell opportunities to meet Members’ needs.
  • Create and maintain long-term relationships with travel clients to foster repeat business.
  • Meets or exceeds established minimum production/performance requirements.
  • Participates as a user in testing of new systems/procedures.
  • Demonstrates creative problem-solving skills and identifies alternatives; considers the likely impact of decisions before implementing them.
  • Keeps current on new developments, products, services, policy changes, etc., and applies them correctly in performing tasks; maintains a high level of expertise in technical/functional areas as they relate to AAA travel platforms.
  • Assists Members with auto travel plans by providing hotel reservations along planned route.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 18 months of sales/customer service experience, **Call Center/inbound call taking experience preferred
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task/seek resolution
  • A quiet, private workspace free from distraction or interruption
  • Stable, high-speed, hard-wired internet connection via Ethernet cable required throughout employment.  Wireless, DSL, Hot Spots, Cellular, Satellite or shared/public internet connection is not authorized and is prohibited
  • Successful completion of virtual training class
  • Able to work weekends, overtime and/or holidays as required 
  • This position does NOT allow the flexibility to provide care to others in the household
