Chemistry Intern
Precision Planting is passionate about using science and technology to improve agriculture. The Precision Planting team develops innovative products that improve the lives of growers and make agriculture more sustainable, efficient, and profitable. A Precision Planting Chemistry Intern will receive hands-on experience in many different areas of product development and research based in Tremont, Illinois. This paid internship will focus on cutting edge projects developing on-farm planting and harvesting systems for advanced precision ag applications. We aim high and work hard, but you will have fun and have the opportunity to grow technically.
Responsibilities:
- Perform analytical testing and analyses in chemistry lab
- Design and testing of new product concepts and technology
- Learn new laboratory techniques and procedures
- Prepare test solutions and reagents for chemical analyses
- Work with a multidisciplinary engineering and science team
Required Skills/Experience:
- Current enrollment in BS or MS degree program in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related field
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to communicate technical results
- Ability to learn new laboratory techniques and procedures quickly
- Ability to analyze and report data
- Cumulative GPA of at least 3.0/4.0
- Personal transportation
- Willingness to relocate to the Peoria, IL area, if necessary
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Previous lab experience
- Experience with Analytical Chemistry
- Interest in Agriculture
