Market Research Intern
POSITION SUMMARY
Year-Round Intern will report to the Market Research Supervisor and is responsible for items such as regional and global market research and analysis, customer and competitive analysis, database entry and maintenance, and presenting research findings to management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitoring and collecting market intelligence relevant to BorgWarner’s business
- Monitoring customer activity for important communications
- Monitoring competitor activity for important communications
- Communicating regional and global market movements to BorgWarner’s sales, engineering and strategy teams
- Locating, interpreting and presenting data from external sources such as S&P, Wards Auto, MarkLines, Global Data, etc.
- Supporting research leads with specific projects, reports, and tasks
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Student with a minimum one - two years college experience in Business, Marketing or Engineering related fields.
- Candidate has excellent communication skills and interest in the automotive industry.
- Must have a strong work ethic and be naturally curious.
- Recent experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential.
- Recent experience in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Power BI or equivalent is preferred.
- Technical and newsletter/blog-style writing experience is preferred.
