Procurement/Grants Internship (Summer 2025)

As a Procurement and Grants Intern with the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, you will gain valuable work experience in projects related to contracts and grants. Experience may include federal rules, best practices, developing training, documenting workflows, reviewing procedures, and administrative management of grant and contract portfolios. There may also be opportunity to work with service and commodity procurements.
Assist with processing invoices.
Provide funding updates and manage related workflows.
Develop core item lists, supply chain analysis, contractual terms and conditions, and policy and document organization.
Procurement transactions for goods and/or services range from standardized products and services to those of moderate complexity.

Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Coursework/training or experience in public contact, customer service, and/or performing and applying office/clerical support procedures, including the use of a personal computer, associated software, and office equipment
Preferred Qualifications: Post High School education in business administration, procurement, supply/inventory operations or related field.
Other: Must be currently enrolled in a college or university
