Industrial Engineer Intern

As an Industrial Engineer Intern at Cleveland-Cliffs, you will take a hands-on approach to assist our engineering team with various projects and daily operations. This internship will provide valuable experience in mining engineering principles, field operations, and data analysis. Projects in which an intern will participate will vary, depending on education level and plant, but will model the duties below to the extent possible. 

Hiring sites include Rockport, IN. 

Summary of Responsibilities:  

• Support the maintenance of facilities, procedures, and workforce training to ensure legal compliance and incident prevention while promoting environmentally sustainable practices.
• Participate in safety and environmental compliance checks.
• Assist in creating and updating job procedures for tasks to ensure they remain current and effective.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve engineering challenges.
• Other projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program in the field of Mining Engineering, Geology, Civil Engineering, or other related technical degree
• Completion of at least sophomore year of study by the summer of 2025
