Summer Engineering Internships

Yazaki Corporation is looking for motivated Summer Interns to join our Engineering team at our Petoskey, Michigan facility. The ideal candidates thrive in a collaborative, results-oriented environment and are eager to make meaningful contributions to the organization. This internship runs full-time from May 2025 to August 2025 (Flexible with student schedule).

What you will be doing:

• The interns will begin learning the overall stamping operation by shadowing key personnel within the mechanical or electrical engineering departments and maintenance and production departments. After becoming familiar with our product and process, this individual will shadow and assist their assigned engineering personnel on daily tasks and projects.
• Key measures of success are in the areas of efficiency, quality, reliability, and cost.

What will you bring to the table:

• Education: Enrollment in a 4-year degree program at an accredited institution during the internship period. (Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering)
• Relevant Background: Ideally, students will be in the 2nd year of their 4-year Engineering program.
• Academic Standing: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
• Commitment: Availability of working full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks between May 2025 and August 2025 (flexible with student schedule).
• Technical Skills: Students should have completed some type of hands-on coursework, providing them with the understanding and competence to contribute to their internship.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
