Program Coordination Intern

Hours: This job will be May – August (8:30am-4:30pm) hours may vary - occasional evenings and weekends required.
Salary: $20.00/hr.

Under the direction of the Instructional Programs Manager, the Program Coordination Intern will dive into compiling camp/class data, help supervise summer camps, create eye-catching marketing materials, attend a few excursion trips, and gain hands-on experience with special events! Performs additional related work as required.

This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day planning, coordination, and supervision of various week-long summer camps administered within the McLean Community Center. Responsibilities also include assisting with organizing forms, creating marketing materials, compiling class data, managing invoices and payments.

Examples of Key Duties: (Duties are illustrative and not inclusive and may vary with individual assignment.)

  • Assists the Instructional Programs Manager with compiling class information, creating booking
  • forms, and coordinating class setups
  • Assists with camp check-in by collecting forms, verifying attendance, and making copies for
  • camp providers
  • Coordinate with parents to collect camp forms, send reminder emails, and organize the
  • information into a binder for MCC use
  • Monitors and evaluates program activities, assists in brainstorming new workshops/events
  • Attend trips with the teen excursion camp, visits to amusement parks, beaches, & more
  • Provide on-site support for up to two special events, assisting with event logistics & execution

Requirements: Applicants must be a junior/senior in a college or university

Necessary Special Requirements:
The appointee to the position must satisfactorily complete a criminal background check and Child Protective Services Registry check.
