Stampings Engineering Intern
Advance Engineering is a family-owned, full-scale metal stamping facility since 1988. We manufacture a wide variety of automotive and nonautomotive parts specializing in deep draw metal stamping. We have over 90 years of experience and expertise in our industry.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Stampings Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in the stamping engineering process, working alongside industry professionals in a fast-paced, innovative environment. The successful candidate will support the engineering team in designing, analyzing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for metal stamping operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist the engineering team in analyzing and improving stamping processes for various products.
· Support the design and development of tooling, dies, and equipment used in stamping operations.
· Help with product design verification and review to ensure manufacturability and quality standards.
· Perform process data collection, analysis, and generate reports to track performance metrics.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and provide technical solutions.
· Assist in the creation and update of technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.
· Participate in the development and testing of prototypes and support the launch of new products.
· Learn and apply stamping design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar tools) to assist with project tasks.
· Assist in evaluating material selection, tooling, and equipment for cost, quality, and process efficiency.
· Conduct research on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in stamping and manufacturing processes.
