Important: This is an in-person internship.
NJC's 12-week paid summer internship offers on-the-job training and weekly seminars led by a panel of prominent journalists and public policy experts. NJC provides a generous monthly tax-free stipend of $1,500. A housing scholarship of up to $500 is also available.
Qualified candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to responsible journalism.
NJC pairs its interns with print, broadcast, or online media outlets that align with their strengths and interests. Interns typically spend 30 hours weekly gaining practical, firsthand journalism experience at their selected placements. Potential placements include the Washington Examiner, the Hill, and the Federalist.
NJC students also participate in weekly seminars, sharpening their writing and reporting skills while gaining a deeper understanding of media, politics, and public policy.
Since 1977, the National Journalism Center has trained aspiring conservative journalists in the principles of ethical reporting.
Summer internships are full-time, running five days a week.
