Essential Job Responsibilities:

Under the direct supervision of a full-time salaried employee designated as his or her sponsor, the student Intern performs work that is intended to provide the needed experience for a career substantially similar to that of the sponsor. The Cybersecurity Intern will be provided ample opportunities to learn through various project work and tasks within the Cybersecurity department. 

• Remediating daily low level email threats
• Analyzing and remediating the following:
  • Crowdstrike End point alerts
  • O365 alerts
  • Varonis Data alerts
• Analysis of cloud environment alerts.
• Track and process service tickets.
• Conduct data entry as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Compensation Range

$25.00 - 28.00 per hour

Minimum Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited university in cybersecurity, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• Full-time attendance at an accredited college or university, in pursuit of a degree consistent with the student internship role.
• Basic understanding of security concepts.
• Basic understanding of cyber threats such as social engineering and malware.
• Working knowledge in cyber security measures such as Firewalls, Endpoint Protection, etc.
• Working understanding of network architecture and network protocols.
• Working understanding of identity management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Basic understanding of Cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Self-motivated individual with a desire to be continually challenged.
• Ability to collaborate and work well within a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Practical experience and knowledge of Proofpoint Email security systems.
• Experience with Endpoint Detection and Remediation (EDR) systems specifically Crowdstrike Falcon Complete (EDR).
• Knowledge/Experience working in or with SOC2 service.
• Knowledge or practical experience using SIEM system.
• Knowledge of firewall systems, specifically Checkpoint.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Active Directory (AD) Azure or other IAM system.
• Working experience with Microsoft O365 and Defender.
• Knowledge of CyberArk Privilege Access Management (PAM) and or Endpoint Management (EPM).
• Working knowledge of ticketing system, specifically, Service Now.

Work Environment:

• Exposure to computer screens.
• Required hybrid in-office work schedule.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Required job duties are normally performed in a climate-controlled office environment.
