Test Engineering Intern

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform physical testing to evaluate the performance of products produced by MANN+HUMMEL, including but not limited to: leak testing, cleanliness testing, burst testing, pressure pulsation, push on, pull off, thermal exposure, thread-forming screw testing, vibration testing and air flow testing.
- Design, develop and implement new testing equipment for the lab with guidance from Test Engineers.
- Manage procurement of equipment and supplies within lab
- Organize and assist with transportation of test samples to suppliers and customers.
- Research on special topics and new lab capability as assigned by Test Engineers
- Perform activities in a positive and professional manner
- Maintain an acceptable attendance record to ensure timely work completion
- Work with hand tools, wrenches, hammers, screw drivers, etc.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Must be able to move 100lb. objects.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Pursuing a degree in Engineering or relative field.
- Must have strong written and communication skills.
- Must be team and goal oriented.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
- Strong Knowledge of Excel Spreadsheets using Pivot Tables and Macros.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Catia, NX, LabView and SAP software a plus.
- Ability to read and evaluate part prints.
- Ability to work hands on in a manufacturing environment.
- At least a year commitment (recommended).
