Intern - Information Technology Division
Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Information Technology Intern to join our IT team. This internship provides hands-on experience in supporting IT operations, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with projects that enhance our technological infrastructure. The IT Intern will work closely with experienced professionals to gain practical knowledge in areas such as network administration, software support, cybersecurity, and system maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues for employees or end-users.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices.
- Help install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and updates.
- Support IT staff in monitoring and maintaining network performance and security.
- Assist with data backup, recovery processes, and documentation of IT procedures.
- Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, software rollouts, or equipment inventory management.
- Respond to helpdesk tickets and escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed.
- Research emerging technologies or tools to support team initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of technical issues, solutions, and equipment inventories.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a degree program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field (e.g., Associate's or Bachelor's degree in progress).
- Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems (e.g., Windows, macOS, Linux), and networking fundamentals.
- Familiarity with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, email clients).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and end-users.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Prior experience with IT support, programming, or hardware troubleshooting is a plus but not required.
Requirements:
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the duration of internship 3-6 months.
- Must be able to work onsite and adhere to company policies.
- Reliable transportation and access to a stable internet connection.
