Housing Ambassador (University Housing - Summer 2025)

JOB SUMMARY
Housing Ambassadors interact with prospective and incoming students and parents during Undergraduate Admissions and New Student Orientation events. Students are trained to provide key information about University Housing and its processes, and to deliver entertaining and helpful University Housing tours. Students will also learn how to share elements of their own personal residential experience to create effective peer-to-peer marketing connections.

Applications open March 1, 2025 at 8 a.m.
The application deadline is March 15, 2025 at midnight.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Must have sophomore, junior, or senior class standing at Oakland University by fall 2025.
  • Must have lived on campus for a minimum of one semester.
  • Current cumulative and semester GPA must be 2.75 or higher.
  • Must not be found responsible for serious conduct violations

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Active participation in, and engagement with, the marketing and recruitment plan for the Department of University Housing.
  • Interact with prospective and incoming students during orientation events or other events designed to recruit students to live on campus.
  • Provide tours of housing facilities that accurately and enthusiastically represent the Department of University Housing.
  • Support the Hillcrest Hall Housing Office as needed.
