Student Co-op
The VA/VE team develops cost reduction proposals for the ZF Lifetec business unit. We are seeking a student co-op to assist our knowledgeable team in cost saving initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
- Learn about Value Engineering/Value Analysis (VA/VE) cost reductions.
- Participate in internal and external VA/VE workshops.
- Establish technical feasibility of ideas through test, validation, and part tear downs.
- Conduct data analysis.
- Learn about business cases and return on investment.
- Learn how to develop project timing.
- Work as an integral member of a cross functional team.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an engineering degree, materials management, or similar discipline with GPA min of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Strong willingness to learn about the automotive safety industry is desired
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Business acumen
- Experience taking an active role in group activities
- Hands-on approach
- Self-motivated and engaged in every activity
