TYPE: Co-Op (May 2025 – January 2026) OR (May 2025 – August 2025)

COMPENSATION: $23.00/hr - $33.00/hr

Role Summary

The Drafter/Engineering Support Co-Op will play a key role in creating and maintaining technical drawings, documentation, and engineering support materials for Clarapath’s advanced electro-mechanical device, SectionStar™. This role requires expertise in CAD modeling, technical documentation, and cross-functional collaboration, supporting a team of engineers while managing the daily drafting and engineering support needs of the enterprise. The ideal candidate will assist in updating designs, preparing technical schematics, and ensuring accurate documentation to support product development and manufacturing. We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented team player who thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Create and update 2D and 3D CAD models, drawings, and schematics for SectionStar™ components and assemblies
  • Support engineers in the development of technical documentation, including BOMs, assembly instructions, and process workflows
  • Ensure design documentation aligns with company standards and manufacturing requirements
  • Assist in managing engineering change orders and revision control
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to support product development
  • Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to optimize manufacturability and functionality
  • Maintain an organized database of engineering drawings and technical documents

Qualifications: 

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Drafting, or a related field
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo)
  • Understanding of GD&T, drafting standards, and engineering documentation practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
