Marketing/Public Affairs Intern
Summary
The Public Affairs Intern will support GLWA’s communication strategy through social media management, website posting, event planning, and photography.
Job Responsibilities
- Create and publish social media posts in line with GLWA's content strategy
- Post to GLWA public website
- Assist Public Affairs team with internal and external events, including planning, set up, and any event day needs
- Photograph team members at internal and external events
- Draft internal communication announcements/publications
- Update internal communication monitors throughout GLWA facilities
- Assist other members of the Public Affairs team with ongoing projects
Required Education and Experience
- A student in good standing and classified by their institution as a rising sophomore or higher studying marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
- Able to commit to working at least 20 hours per week
- Able to commit to the intern position for a minimum of two months
- Follow security and safety policies and procedures in carrying out work duties
- Familiarity with social media platforms, digital communication channels and basic photography
- A valid Driver’s License and the ability to drive a motor vehicle on all terrain
