
Business Admin and Project Coordinator Intern
Who We Are
Our goal is to provide early career opportunities to address the talent gap in information technology and healthcare to ensure talent supply meets the current and emerging needs of the healthcare IT industry. The student internship program accepts international students with up-to-date work authorization for off-campus employment.
The Role
As a Business Admin and Project Coordinator Intern, you will be working with and learning alongside subject matter experts in the health IT space. Intern positions are learning positions and are essential to the team at our growing, fast-paced health IT non-profit.

Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a student at a college or university
- Required 15-29 hours/week within office hours (Eastern Time Zone)
- Internships are a minimum 2 semester commitment
- Be at least 18 years of age at the program’s start date
- Be legally eligible to work in the US and off-campus and pass a criminal background check
- Have reliable internet access
- Adhere to any other MiHIN employment policies, as appropriate

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and digital tools like Zoom, JIRA, Confluence, HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams (or willingness to learn).Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities
- Take detailed notes in meetings, capturing key discussion points and action items.
- Support data quality cleanup efforts within HubSpot CRM.
- Assist with weekly and monthly timekeeping outreach and reporting processes.
- Create, update, and maintain team and employee-facing documentation.
- Help compile and organize weekly and quarterly status reports.
- Monitor project status for small projects and provide updates.
- Support the creation and maintenance of project plans.
- Contribute to process mapping and workflow documentation efforts.
- Track and manage action items using Jira.
- Other duties as assigned.
Tools we use: Zoom meetings, JIRA ticketing service, Confluence documentation, Microsoft Outlook email and calendar daily, Microsoft Teams chat and meetings, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
