Student Program Board - President

Student Program Board President (2025 - 2026)

-Shall call to order and conduct all Student Program Board Executive Board meetings.

-Shall represent the Student Program Board to University Committees, University Administration, and any other University off-campus committee or entity.

-Shall be responsible for creating relationships between student organizations, offices, the community, and University Administration with the Student Program Board.

-Shall evaluate Executive Board members with aid from the Student Program Board Vice-President.

-Shall mediate any internal conflicts within the Student Program Board.

-Shall be a non-voting ex-officio member of any committee that the Student Program Board establishes.

-Shall coordinate and delegate, as needed, the administrative details of the Student Program Board.

-Shall provide a training program to promote continuity within the Student Program Board, with the assistance of the Student Program Board Advisor.

-Shall have the authority to select representatives to all conferences or meetings attended by the Student Program Board in coordination with the Advisor.

-Shall ensure the fiscal solvency of the Student Program Board.

-Shall have the authority to remove any Student Program Board Executive Board member, if necessary and with just cause, through the procedure outlined in Article IX, Removal.

-Shall serve as a non-voting member of the Student Program Board except to break all ties.

-Shall have the option of leaving any number of Executive Board member positions open.

-Shall have the option of adding an appointed agent with the limit of one year of membership without reflecting changes in an updated Constitution.

Shall delegate any other tasks related to the operation of the Student Program Board to Executive Board Members.

-Shall carry out any other tasks related to the purpose and goals of the Student Program Board.

-Shall be responsible for aiding all programming Directors to ensure events are programmed at the highest level possible.

-Shall have the right to present expenditure and program proposals to the Student Program Board Executive Board for discussion and vote.

-Shall be responsible for reviewing all possible co-sponsor ships and presenting them to the board for their approval.

-Student chosen should expect to dedicate a minimum of 20 - 25 hours per week to SPB.

Expectations for all SPB eBoard Members:

-All members of the SPB eBoard are required to attend weekly executive board meetings.

-All eBoard members will also be required to attend a retreat once a semester to plan for upcoming events.

-Students chosen should expect to dedicate a minimum of 15 - 20 hours per week to SPB.

-All SPB eBoard members agree to showcase SPB and Oakland University in a positive light.

-High level of interpersonal and communication skills.

-Self-Motivated.

-Excellent time management skills.

-Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University and maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

-One or more years of experience in a club or organization, in a leadership capacity, in high school or college is recommended by not required.
