Grizz Den Attendant

Position Overview:

Oakland Center Grizz Den Attendants provide front-line customer service to patrons of the Grizz Den. Grizz Den Attendants are responsible for the gaming equipment rental process, maintaining the gaming areas' cleanliness, and providing exemplary customer service displayed through a welcoming attitude. In addition, Attendants are responsible for troubleshooting the video gaming systems (Nintendo Switch, Xbox, and PlayStation). Students are required to attend monthly staff meetings. This position reports to the Grizz Den Manager and Associate Director of Operations, at Oakland Center. While working in this position there is room for promotion. Within this position, you will hone your communication skills and build problem-solving techniques that will prepare you for a future career. Individuals looking for more hours and an ability to build their resume will find a career at the Oakland Center very beneficial.

Essential Duties:

  • Opening and closing of the Grizz Den
  • Provide a professional level of customer service
  • Maintain and have knowledge of gaming equipment (billiards, table tennis, video gaming)
  • Assist and solve customer/patron problems
  • Manages the electronics charging station
  • Ensuring the Grizz Den is a clean and welcoming space
