Language Camp Assistant

Job title: Language Camp Assistant

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures is seeking student assistants for camps in French, Japanese, and Spanish, and Sureth (Aramaic).

Dates and times:

• French Summer Camp

June 23-27, 2025 (8:00 am-12:00 pm)

• Japanese Summer Camp

July 7-11, 2025 (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

• Spanish Summer Camp

June 16-20, 2025 (8:00 am - 12:00 pm) and

July 21-25, 2025 (8:00 am - 12:00 pm)

• Sureth Summer Camp

June 12 - July 24, 2025 (1:00-4:00 pm) Thursdays only - 3 hours weekly.

The student assistant will work with the camp leader to work with campers as they practice basic conversational skills and learn about the culture through hands-on activities.

Candidates for the position should have a solid background in the target language (French, Japanese, Spanish, and Sureth) and should have an interest in and experience with working with youth.
